I am glad to see the Denver Post recognizing the need for more independence in the Independent Ethics Commission which is the basis for the bill I am running this year. When the voters approved Amendment 41 establishing the Independent Ethics Commission, they expected that it would be independent and able to effectively investigate alleged ethics violations by elected officials.
